Week 7 Power Rankings

Trouser Trouts GM Justin VanHeche celebrates his #1 spot in the power rankings by hiring a call girl

We are 1/3 of the way through the season and have finally started to see some separation between the wheat and the chaff. Some teams have hit their championship form already while some are already looking forward to next year.

Contenders

The Trouser Trouts, Rebel Yell and Elephants all sport a 5-1 record while 2 time champion Lo-Cain's stand right behind them at 4-2. Barring a complete meltdown these 4 teams appear to be locks for the playoffs and should spend all summer sword fighting for a first round bye.

1.  CW's Trouser Trouts - (5-1)

The Trout's lost their first game of the year last week but still lead the league in points scored. They have a chance to redeem themselves this week with a prime time match up against the Elephants.

2. Rebel "Boats N Hosmer's" Yell - (5-1)

After losing their first game of the year Rebel Yell is now on a 5 game winning streak including last week's victory over the defending champs.  GM Ben Keck thinks this is his best team since their title run in 2010 "We have the batters, we have the relievers, the only thing we are missing is a top of the line starter and we plan on acquiring one before the season is over"

3. Team Elephant (5-1)

The Elephants had an offensive explosion last week dropping 410 points on the Hapless Team Cross. They will need every bit of those points if they hope to knock off the Trouser Trouts this week.

4. Lo Cain Is A Hell of A Drug (4-2)

The Cain's are still a bit of a mystery as all 4 of their wins have come against teams under .500. You should never count out super star GM Sven Murphy's squad though, we should get a better feel for how good they are when the take on the Boats n ***-***'s this week.

Work Left to do

Look for these 4 teams to spend the dog days of summer fighting among themselves for the last 2 playoff spots. GM Jason "Tum Tum" Stanley appears to have righted his ship but faces a tough test next week as he takes on the defending champion Pooches.

5. Boats n ***-***'s (3-3)

It was a up and down week for the ***-***'s as early last week they received a court order to change their name due to an ongoing lawsuit with Rebel "Boats N Hosmer's" Yell. They used that adversity and responded with their best week of the season knocking off the previously undefeated Trouser Trouts.

6. Penn Valley Pooches (3-3)

After starting the year off with 3 straight wins the Pooches have dropped 3 straight and failed to break 300 points in each of those games. Fans are starting to wonder if GM Dawg Murphy has started to share his managing duties with his Fiance.

7. Crocs in Florida (2-4)

The Crocs appear to have righted the ship after a rocky start putting up 373 and 335 points in the past 2 weeks. They have a chance to see how good they really are this week when they take on the slumping but hungry Pooches.

8. Team Cross (2-4)

After finally figuring out how to set their lineup Team Cross has had an impressive run winning 2 of their last 3. Unfortunately they face up against the Hottest Team (On Field performance and looks) in the league this week. If they can snap Rebel "Boats N Hosmer" Yell's 5 game winning streak they put themselves in a good position to snag a playoff spot down the line.

Just give up

Its sad to see two of our founding franchises fall on such hard times. The Junkies and Blanco's were once considered to be model franchises but as the great Darcy Sears once said "Things change Mox"

9. HGH Junkies (1-5)

Some media members have speculated that Playboy GM Pearce McKinney may have lost his edge by settling down with a GF and he acknowledges they may be right saying "You know, it has messed with my daily routine. I used to gun it everyday before I set my lineup, you know, clear the head and really focus. But with the recent addition of Molly to my harem my gunn'n has slowed down a bit"

10. Los Gringos Blancos (0-6)
